Chris comes to Alumni Ventures with a broad base of leadership experience in the financial services sector, having served as in-house counsel for a prominent national Registered Investment Advisor, Chief Legal Officer to a FinTech venture, and having represented major public companies as both in-house and outside counsel. His work has ranged from regulatory compliance and examinations, to high-stakes litigation and arbitration, to data privacy and cybersecurity programs, to routine corporate governance. Chris was also Senior Counsel to a litigation boutique focusing on disputes based on alternative investments, an adjunct professor of law, and a judicial clerk in trial and appellate courts. Chris has published numerous works on the intersection of law and emerging technologies, including constitutional liberties in the context of digital surveillance, cybersecurity, and the effects of AI on longstanding legal doctrines and industry norms.
