CIO Select Introduction Webinar

Join Mark Edwards, Chief Investment Officer at Alumni Ventures, and Greg Baker, Managing Partner at Alumni Ventures, for an introduction to the CIO Select Fund — and a clear-eyed look at how concentrating capital into AV’s highest-conviction portfolio companies works as a venture strategy for accredited investors.
In this session, Mark Edwards, Chief Investment Officer at Alumni Ventures, and Greg Baker, Managing Partner, will introduce the CIO Select Fund — AV’s concentrated follow-on strategy designed to deploy additional capital into the highest-conviction companies already backed across the AV platform. Mark and Greg will walk through how the fund is constructed, the data and signals that drive each follow-on decision, and how CIO Select fits alongside other AV fund options in a venture portfolio.
The conversation will go beyond fund mechanics to share why concentration — when paired with disciplined underwriting and access to existing portfolio data — can be a powerful complement to broader, more diversified venture exposure. Mark and Greg will discuss what they look for when sizing up a follow-on opportunity, how they think about pricing and pacing, and where the strategy sits within today’s market environment.
Whether you’re already familiar with Alumni Ventures or evaluating CIO Select for the first time, this session will give you the foundation you need to understand the fund’s thesis, structure, and fit within a long-term venture allocation. Register to hear directly from the team leading the strategy and bring any questions you’d like addressed during the session.
