A reminder that our Emerging Markets Fund closes to new investors at the end of June, or as soon as we reach 250 investors. The fund offers a portfolio of ~20-30 diverse deals from outside of major U.S. VC hubs — both in the U.S. and abroad.

Investors who have already signed up have said they like the thesis of great regional diversification for their portfolio and potentially favorable valuation opportunities.

Portfolio Overview

Since launching the fund, we have invested in seven companies and already offered one Syndication to investors. Below is a brief summary of those deals, including a new one just added to the portfolio.

Alumni Ventures’ Emerging Markets Fund offers a portfolio of ~20-30 promising, venture-backed companies from emerging markets in the U.S. and internationally. It’s a chance to further diversify your portfolio, seeking opportunities in rapidly growing regions where there are outsized opportunities.

Plus Two Disclosed Deals

  • We also recently added another investment to the EMF portfolio. This as-yet undisclosed company is offering businesses easy, fast credit through funding digital marketing campaigns.
  • And we just concluded a Syndication for a deal in personal care for the Latin American market. Syndications* are a benefit that we offer fund investors, giving them an opportunity to invest more in a deal one of our funds has already committed to. You’re free to browse our diligence materials and determine if you want to opt in.

Emerging Markets Venture Club

The Emerging Markets Venture Club is an exclusive opportunity for investors in the fund. Club members can access portfolio news and upcoming events, connect with other fund investors, and be offered a target of  6-12 Syndications each year. Watch a short video overview of the Club presented by Co-Presidents Erik Hammer and Keaton Nankivil.
