How to Invest in 116 Street Ventures

Join Rob Adams, Executive Partner of 116 Street Ventures, for a practical walkthrough of how to actually invest in Alumni Ventures’ Columbia alumni-affiliated venture fund — the thesis, the portfolio, the mechanics, and what accredited investors should know before committing capital.
In this session, Rob Adams will walk through the 116 Street Ventures investment thesis, how the fund leverages its connection to the Columbia alumni ecosystem to source and back exceptional founders, and the practical mechanics of investing — including how the fund is constructed, how capital is deployed across the portfolio, what the investment process looks like from commitment through capital call, and how the fund fits alongside other Alumni Ventures options. Rob will share recent portfolio activity and where the team is sharpening conviction today.
Whether you’re a Columbia alum, a current Alumni Ventures investor, or evaluating university-connected venture for the first time, this session will give you a clear, current view of the fund’s thesis, structure, and path forward — and the practical steps to participate. Register to bring your questions to Rob and hear directly from the leadership behind the fund.
